Founded in 2002, Geospatial Data Analysis Corporation (GDA) is a woman-owned business specializing in the analysis of satellite imagery and in particular the automated pre-processing, data extraction, analysis and operational delivery of intelligence products for agricultural, environmental and resource management. GDA is built on the principle that the use of advanced science and technology can have a profound impact on the world in which we live. The challenges facing the world’s food and water supply, forests and air quality are prime examples.satellite imaging, monitoring agricultural crops GDA, initially a reseach and development firm, was founded through a Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) award out of NASA’s Stennis Space Center. Initial stages of the company's development were based on additional SBIR awards and collaboration with the USDA, NGA (National Geospatial Intelligence Agency), NASA and USGS. This heritage provided GDA with a tremendous advantage by allowing us to work with many of the leading experts in the industry and providing an environment to develop leading edge technology without the pressures of the commercial marketplace. The result? GDA has developed industry leading methodologies and algorithms for operational, automated processing of large image datasets, automated extraction of features and patterns from imagery, and building spatial decision support and expert systems. Our staff of GIS and Remote Sensing experts, computer scientists, and business managers provides a team-oriented, detail-driven approach to providing client solutions, leaving no stone un-turned in our quest to deliver the highest quality products and services to our clients. In mid 2009, GDA made their technology available to commercial clients for the first time. GDA is committed to expanding availability to additional commercial clients and markets going forward, while maintaining focus on the agricultural, environmental and resource management markets.
