The GSO is Garland’s oldest performing arts organization. Founded in March 1978, the GSO has been dedicated to providing performances of great orchestral music to Garland and its surrounding communities. Since its inception, the GSO has presented over 200 concerts featuring the music of more than 225 composers, including the premieres of new works by Texas composers. Evidenced by a 56% increase in our subscriber base in the 2010-2011 Season, the GSO enjoys a reputation as one of the finest symphonies in North Texas.
