The American Psychological Association, in Washington, D.C., is the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States and is the world's largest association of psychologists. Founded in 1930, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is a professional membership organization of 67,000 pediatricians committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and well-being for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. AAP is the nation’s leading advocacy organization for children, and the leading source of children’s health-related information for pediatricians and their patients.
