Greenfield Gardens was established in 1981 by Frank Sr. and Elbert Groeneveld. The operation started out with 5000 sq/ft. of greenhouse growing poinsettias and bedding plants. 2 years later another 2500 sq/ft. was added. In 1985 it was determined that a new location was necessary to accommodate the growth of GFG. In 1986 the current location was founded and the first 29000 sq/ft was built. We grew bedding plants, pot mums, poinsettias and hydrangeas. As the operation continued to be a success we continued to grow. One of the turning points in our business was when we became a rooting station for Fides North America in 2000. Within a few years we became a rooting station/broker for a well rounded portfolio which includes annuals, perennials, succulents and tropicals. This turn of events prompted us to build a propagation facility in 2003 that is dedicated to liner/plug production. The product lines that we carry are: Fides, Foremost, Plant Source International, Raker, and Skagit. The operation has always been family-run, Frank Groeneveld Sr. has since retired and Elbert Groeneveld is the President while Frank Groeneveld Jr. is the grower/manager.
