Gamify Good Information

Gamify Good is an engagement design consultancy founded by Pat Tompkins, a game designer with over a decade of experience in casino and mobile games. The tools behind the most addictive apps ever built are not inherently bad. They are just almost exclusively pointed at extracting money from people. Gamify Good points them somewhere else. I work with conservation organizations, public health platforms, citizen science tools, and civic tech companies to design engagement systems that actually serve their users. The same behavioral psychology that keeps someone at a slot machine at 2am can get someone to submit a bird survey, take their medication, or show up for their community. That is where I want to point my next decade.
