Game Habitat Information

Game Habitat is the community organization for the game development industry in South Sweden. We work to enable the best possible environment for game development. Our community consists of thousands of game developers, and hundreds of game companies, plus many freelancers, students, and hobbyists. All based in southern Sweden. Our work is supported and funded by our member companies, Region Skåne, and City of Malmö. Game Habitat also facilitates DevHub, a community-focused shared office space in central Malmö for companies in the game development industry. DevHub has been in operation since 2018 and is the perfect place to grow, build relationships, and be part of the regional games community. DevHub also features a guest office which international developers can lend for free to try DevHub and South Sweden out. Malmö and South Sweden is home to game studios such as Massive Entertainment, Tarsier Studios, King, Sharkmob, IO Interactive, Avalanche Studios Group, Frictional Games, Simogo, and Deadtoast Entertainment, to name a few.
