Northamptonshire Association for the Blind is the largest provider of services to visually impaired people in the county, and we are an independent charity, run by local people for local people.
Our goal is to offer the services and support people with sight loss to lead full and rewarding lives.
Ways we can Help:
• Our Community Team deliver friendly advice, support and information in your home, through our Helpline or on our website.
• Specialist aids, equipment and information on display at our Northampton Sight Centre, located opposite Waitrose in Kingsthorpe and The Kettering Sight Centre on Wadcroft. Also on board our Mobile Sight Centre that visits towns across the county, currently it visits Northampton Town Centre twice a month.
• Social and Support Groups across the county. We run Sight Support Meetings, Computer Clubs, Luncheon Clubs and Pub Lunches in Northampton.
• Children and Families Service - advice, support and events.
• Local Talking Newspaper Service — free audio recordings of local news sent to your door.
• Distributors of British Wireless for the Blind
• Awareness Training, Transcription Services and Access Audits for individuals or organisations.
