The gallery was established in 2003 by Sunitha Kumar Emmart. Since its inception, the gallery has been committed to a critically engaged contemporary programme composed of established and emerging artists. The gallery has always strived to present a diverse spectrum of practices. Annually the gallery will present 7 shows each in its New Delhi and Bangalore space, the gallery also runs a project space and residency space in Bangalore along with the artist Tara Kelton called T.A.J Residency and SKE Projects. The gallery also participates in art fairs like Art Basel, Art Basel, Miami Beach, Art Basel, Hong Kong, India Art fair and Art Dubai.
