Galileo Maritime Academy is a dedicated professional crew training facility located in Thailand at Phuket Yacht Haven Marina and is the only such training facility in Asia Pacific accredited by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency of the UK Department for Transport (MCA) and approved to issue 20 MCA Certificates of Proficiency. We provide the first step for those looking to begin a career as superyacht crew, while also offering basic STCW, advanced and refresher courses for professional seafarers already engaged in the superyacht and commercial maritime industries. The Galileo Campus and Headquarters is located 10 minutes from Phuket International Airport. Galileo offers Full board residence packages and transportation services for crew trainees, providing the most convenient maritime training experience available. In addition to established courses, Galileo works with client companies to develop training programs that meet their own specific training needs and policies, providing consultancy services and also undertaking on-board security and safety audits with reports and recommendations.
