GAEE India Information

The Global Association of Economics Education (GAEE) is a non-profit organisation based out of Massachusetts, USA and recognized as the SDG Action no. 36897 by the United Nations. It is a student-led initiative aiming to democratize the education of economics, both in terms of accessibility and pedagogical philosophy. GAEE currently operates in ten countries and is affiliated with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC), one of the six principal organs of the United Nations. It also receives support from and has partnered with the World Economics Association, Techsoup, Google, Facebook, Amazon, Microsoft, AIESEC and several universities across the globe. GAEE India (erstwhile GAEE North India) demonstrates the youth's ability to take control of their future and radiate positive social progress to their communities. Through the medium of our sessions and discussions, we aim to create an inclusive space for college students to come forth and bridge the gap between economics education and its application. The organisation strives to engage students in high-quality workshops and events to educate its members about the fundamentals of economic theory in practice, personal finance, and entrepreneurial skills. We envision opening the gates to this learning group for students throughout India from all backgrounds and majors to bust further the belief that these fields are accessible only to a certain pool of people.
