Having its parentage from General Accident UK, it was incorporated as Kenyan Insurance Company in 1979. Enjoying its presence for over 50 years, brand GA has earned its standing as one of the reputable insurance companies in Kenya. In 2006, General Accident Insurance Company was acquired by the renowned I&M Bank Group in Kenya. The Bank has operations in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Mauritius. The group has other business interest like coke bottling, manufacturing industry and real estate. Following the take-over, the company has been restructured and developing more professionally in the market. Carrying on GA's legacy of stable and steady company, it has now evolved into a stronger ,more responsive and progressive underwriters under the new professional and experienced management.
