FWU is a specialized unit-linked life insurance and financial service provider whose offering spans from highly efficient IT-systems and big data investment solutions to commission-factoring and refinancing expertise. FWU provides tailor-made solutions for distributors to satisfy the end customer. Being headquartered in Munich, FWU services 10 offices reaching from Kuala Lumpur to Madrid and consists of 14 entities. Among these are two life insurance companies FWU Life Lux and FWU Life Austria based in Luxemburg and Vienna, the asset management company FWU Invest in Luxemburg, and FWU Takaful, which operates from DIFC, Dubai. In 1983, Dr. Manfred Dirrheimer founded FWU as "Forschungsgesellschaft für Wettbewerb- und Unternehmensorganisation", laying the foundation for a success story of more almost 40 years. FWU has grown from a Munich-based consultancy firm to a product innovator in the life insurance market and ultimately to a global player in the life insurance business.
