FWsim was created by me, Lukas Trötzmüller. It grew out of a personal fascination with pyromusicals. The goal was to create a fireworks simulation software that's realistic, fast, and easy to use. In its current form, the software was released in December 2010. One year later, the professional edition was introduced to the market.
