Future Quarry Resources ('FQR') has been established to take advantage of the growing disparity between supply and demand of sand and aggregates in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. The majority of existing quarries servicing these regions are nearing the end of the approved lives of the quarry and existing quarries are coming under increasing societal pressure as the ever widening urban sprawl approaches these locations. The demand for sand and aggregates is strongly influenced by economic activity, population and major projects such as highways. South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales projected population growth rates, coupled with the government's commitment to infrastructure and development have highlighted a looming shortfall fall in materials. The key use of sand and aggregates is in construction materials for the following: Buildings/ Housing Roads Public Infrastructure The objective of FQR is to identify, secure and gain approval of greenfield quarry and sand assets. This process will include: Securing extraction permits Obtaining Development Approval Negotiating royalty agreements Considering any offsets required including vegetation, Koala and biodiversity requirements
