The Foundation Future Energy Systems (FES) contributes to a sustainable society by making locally generated sustainable energy available as a common good for neighbourhoods. We create new societal concepts fitting within the broader trend of residents taking leadership and thereby avoiding dependencies on traditional energy ecosystems. We do this by supporting local energy organisations - Energy Commons. Our focus is on local support - organisational, financial and technological. FES is working on innovative concepts with renowned organisations and field-tested technologies to support Energy Commons. We will fully use our fees, sponsor and donor funds for the implementation of Energy Commons. Board members receive no remuneration for providing FES leadership other than compensation for expenses incurred and a non-excessive attendance fee (as required for an ANBI organisation under Dutch law - Article 1a, first paragraph, part e, of the UR AWR 1994).
