Barworks Hospitality Group is a joint venture company between JAG Hospitality Ltd – a company founded by John Hellebrekers and Gavin Cowell with a cumulative 30 years in the hospitality industry – and DB Breweries, who have been brewing beer in NZ since 1929 and are owned by Heineken International.
The combination of entrepreneurial talents and corporate muscle has allowed our company to expand rapidly, and we currently operate 19 successful gastrobars in Auckland, along with a dedicated Functions & Events business.
The beer is, of course, 100% supplied by DB Breweries, from craft beers like Tuatara, Monteith’s and Black Dog, to international premium brands like Heineken and Tiger.
Thank you to everyone who has returned to Galbraith's since we reopened. It's been a little different for all of us but it has been wonderful to see everyone back and enjoying catching up with friends and family over a glass or two. Whenever you come through our doors for the foreseeable future the 3 S's will still apply. Seated, Separated and Single Server. When you arrive you will need wait in the foyer, we will help you find a seat a safe distance from others and you will be personally looked after by one of the Galbraith's Team. No ordering or standing at the bar, that's still a treat reserved for Level 1. Galbraith's is a lofty and spacious place, which is lucky, as the rules allow us to accommodate only 100 people at any one time. However recent changes to the Level 2 rules mean we can now welcome larger groups of 10 or more. To save disappointment it would be great if you could book. Book here on our website and we will call you back to confirm, or call us on (09) 3793557. We are committed to keeping you safe with plenty of sanitiser on hand, regular surface cleaning, and social distancing but if you feel unwell please stay home. The beer is flowing, the fires are lit, and the new winter menu, full of comforting food, is proving to be a hit. As winter draws in Galbraith's is the perfect spot for a night of conversation with friends.
