Funny Friends was established in 1982 by Jennifer Mazur-Becker. During the first 10 years of business, Funny Friends' products were sold only in art galleries and art festivals. Now our products are available in many different types of stores. You'll find them in: novelty shops, resorts, gift shops, museum stores, children's apparel and children's furniture stores, book stores, department stores, toy stores, aquariums, cruise ships, airport stores, interior design showrooms, mall kiosks, and of course here on the internet. Funny Friends characters are unique in the marketplace because of Jennifer's whimsical designs and because, unlike common plush products, most pieces are made of high quality, brightly colored velour. And each piece is hand sculpted to create its "one-of-a-kind," perky look. Jennifer has created over 100 plush characters and is now busy bringing them to life in other realms. Her characters are now available as coordinated crib bedding, crib mobiles, wall paper and lamp shades. And look for them soon appearing in children's books, each featuring a particular family of characters. Funny Friends will soon appear in CD ROMS, educational videos and other media. As Funny Friends grew, our Mission Statement changed and grew accordingly. Funny Friends is now dedicated to building a complete product line designed to foster creativity in children. As we grow, we will work toward building strong relationships with various children's charities.
