Fundalas Information

Fundalas is a private, non-profit organization founded in Caracas-Venezuela. Its mission is to promote the establishment of new scientific basis that sustain conceptual and technological progress in four priority areas: Health, Environment, Energy and Education; fields that structurally and functionally propel significant improvements in the quality of life of all population sectors. Currently, our foundation has reduced its operations to a minimum as it completes a first stage and proudly displays the results obtained. Publications in international peer-reviewed journals on studies conducted with a first infrared pulsed laser device (IPLD) (LASB LaserTM) invented by Dr. Luis Santana-Blank have demonstrated that particular light sources can induce physiologically reparative mechanisms which may prevent and halt multiple pathological processes. We hope that the evidence of this mighty effort - which may serve to gauge skills and estimate perspectives- opens an array of possibilities towards a new chapter in the life of Fundalas; one in which important lines of investigation and subsequent clinical trials evaluate the effects of a new, more evolved laser technology. Said project implies great challenges, but also constitutes a promising hope to bring relief to millions of patients. The distance from the workbench to the patient's bedside is now much shorter, but still remains. Thus, we seek to expand our programs through the establishment of corporate and academic agreements that support the growing investment needed for translational research. At Fundalas, we continue to be optimistic as we contemplate the future of this flourishing trail towards a better quality of life.
