The US Government’s Fulbright Program is one of the world’s most prestigious and widely-known academic exchange programs. Fulbright Israel Fellowships for Americans provide U.S. citizens with first-hand experience of the complexities of life in Israel beyond the news headlines, while simultaneously enabling them to realize their academic and research goals through association with Israel’s world-class institutions of higher education. Fulbright Israel Fellowships for Israelis afford rising academics and professionals the opportunity to hone their skills and broaden their world views through study and research at prominent American universities and research institutes. The United States-Israel Educational Foundation (USIEF), is responsible for the administration of Israel’s participation in the Fulbright Program. USIEF was established by the Governments of the United States and Israel in 1956. In the years since USIEF’s establishment over 1,200 US citizens and over 1,500 Israelis have taken part in a variety of Fulbright exchanges.
