Powered by Acu-Res®, each solid-state wind sensor is individually assembled and calibrated in our UK factory. Used by the world's leading wind turbine manufacturers, FT wind sensors have passed over 30 independent tests that include water ingress, ice, corrosion, sand, dust, hail, vibration, drop and lightning protection. Acu-Res® technology is FT's proprietary technology utilising acoustic resonance and is inherently different to Time-of-Flight (ToF). Unlike other ultrasonic sensors, FT wind sensors measure the phase change of acoustic waves to calculate airflow speed and direction. This ensures reliability in wind speed, direction and temperature data in the harshest of conditions.
