FSC is the world’s most trusted forest certification scheme, dedicated to protecting the world’s forests and the people and wildlife who call them home. Our globally consistent standards address important social, environmental, and economic issues in the production of forest products. What makes FSC unique is that we were founded - and are still operated by - environmentalists, social interest groups, Indigenous Peoples' organisations, responsible retailers, and leading forest management companies. As a non-profit membership-based organisation, we are driven by the balanced perspectives of these diverse stakeholders. FSC Australia and New Zealand is a national office of FSC International. We ensure that the voices of Australian and New Zealand stakeholders are heard internationally through our membership, in creating the standards, and promoting the scheme.
