The FRSQ (Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec) is a non-profit funding agency reporting to the Minister in charge of Québec's department for economic development, innovation and export trade (ministère du Développement économique, de l’Innovation et de l’Exportation). Our mandate is to implement government strategy with respect to human health research as presented in the Québec Research and Innovation Strategy. The FRSQ allocates $90 million annually in awards and grants for public-sector research into human health carried out today in universities and hospital-based research centres.
