At the Friendly Fridge BX, we are dedicated to reducing food insecurity by redirecting good, healthy food away from the landfills and instead into the community. We do this by connecting with local farms, restaurants, schools, grocery stores, pantries and food producers. Our goal is to ensure that no food in our community goes to waste while helping to alleviate hunger and support sustainable practices. Thus far, we've redirected over 1.6 million pounds of good, healthy food into the Friendly Fridge BX's community and our partners.
