Friedman Development, LLC is a Seattle, Washington based property development company that specializes in senior housing. Its principals count more than 30 years in commercial development and construction and more than 20 years in the senior living industry. Steven M. Friedman has served as Managing Member of Friedman Development, LLC since 1999. He is also a partner in Sound Communities, a Seattle-based holder of independent living communities. From 1993 until 1999, Mr. Friedman served as a founding partner, principal and senior officer in Merrill Gardens, LLC, a national chain of retirement communities. Today Mr. Friedman maintains a consultant relationship and a joint venture relationship with Merrill Gardens, LLC and, as part of that relationship, is currently developing 275 residential units in two locations. Friedman Development, LLC also maintains a development relationship with Amica Mature Lifestyles, Inc. (ACC: Toronto Stock Exchange) acting as an exclusive acquisitions and development/construction agent for Amica in Washington.
