Our mission is to promote student achievement and preparation for global competitiveness by fostering educational excellence and ensuring equal access. ED is dedicated to: • Establishing policies on federal financial aid for education, and distributing as well as monitoring those funds. • Collecting data on America's schools and disseminating research. • Focusing national attention on key educational issues. • Prohibiting discrimination and ensuring equal access to education.

We accomplish our mission by partnering with parents/guardians, volunteers and others in the community, and we hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving: - Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships; - Avoidance of risky behaviors; and - Educational success.

Since 2000, we’ve helped nearly 100,000 students from low-income backgrounds and first-generation families turn their dreams of higher education into reality. Our mission is to make college admission and completion achievable for every student, regardless of their circumstances. From high school through college graduation, our dedicated coaches provide personalized support tailored to each student’s goals and challenges. Coaches guide students through every step of the college journey—helping them navigate admissions, secure financial aid, plan courses, manage responsibilities, and connect to resources—so students can not only get into college but thrive once they’re there. We combine this hands-on guidance with innovative technology solutions. Coach Possible (https://www.coachpossible.org) is our AI-powered coaching platform, built on 25 years of expertise, that provides timely guidance to students when coaches are unavailable, ensuring consistent support. CoPilot (https://www.collegepossible.org/copilot), our student information system, helps our teams and partner schools track progress, measure outcomes, and deliver data-driven support. Together, these tools help scale our impact while maintaining the personal relationships central to student success.
