Frelon Engineering is a small South African based company operating in the central district of Maitland, Cape Town. Keith Leslie started engineering from home in 1995. Leslie is an ex SAAF pilot and flew the Super Frelon helicopter until 1980. He then transferred his skills and tenacity as a pilot into starting a niche engineering business from his garage at home. Frelon Engineering started with one machine, a second hand Okuma CNC turning lathe which still sits on the shop floor today turning out components. Frelon now produces a wide range of high-precision CNC turned and milled components to customers specification and have substantial experience in stainless steel components as well as mild steel, aluminium and a wide range of plastics.
