FHCE was founded in 1965 by Freeland Harris. Mr. Harris established a relationship with Gray Construction in Bowling Green, KY and began to provide structural design services on Gray’s projects. FHCE quickly became Gray’s primary source for structural engineering, and helped Gray become one of the nation’s leading design build contractors for industrial buildings. Today FHCE continues the tradition of providing excellent structural design services that Mr. Harris established. We emphasize creative framing and foundation design solutions that add value to our customer’s projects while meeting current building codes to ensure the safety of the building’s users. We believe close coordination with all design and construction team members is critical to successful projects. Our services include 3D Revit modeling to assist in design coordination. Many of our projects are delivered on fast track design and construction schedules. Our experience and level of commitment allows us to thrive in this design environment. Our services extend beyond when construction documents are issued. FHCE remains engaged in our projects until the building is turned over to the owner. We take a hands on approach to construction assistance ensuring our design is properly executed in the field. FHCE construction assistance consists of close review of fabrication drawings, presence at critical meetings with onsite contractors, and site visits to observe construction.
