Instead of a single large amplifier driving the speakers; the UMDS uses a low power base unit to supply power and music signals to the local amplifier(s) mounted at each ceiling speaker or on the backside of the customer interface wall plate. Because the amplifier is at each speaker; we have the ability to fine tune volume levels, provide a “Conversation Friendly” environment via a unique wireless individual speaker level control system and maintain greater system flexibility with just a few components.
