FPIC Australia exists to embed Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) as a national standard across Australia. We are a values-driven organisation committed to cultural integrity, ethical governance, and the rights of First Nations peoples. Our mission is to ensure that decisions affecting land, culture, and communities are made with genuine, informed, and respectful consent — not as a formality, but as a foundation for trust and lasting impact. We work across sectors — including government, industry, civil society, and community — to provide: Policy and practice guidance Strategic and cultural advisory Community-led engagement processes Training, resources, and capacity-building FPIC isn’t just best practice — it’s a human right, recognised in international law and critical to reconciliation and self-determination in Australia.
