Foxton is a Preston charity which has been supporting the city’s community since 1969. We have teams across Preston providing vital Youth and Community, Women’s and Homeless Services. We are supported by businesses across Lancashire, providing essential financial donations and volunteering support. If you want to support, visit www.thefoxton.org. We started life in 1969 when Brian Foxton, a Reverend from the local churches in Preston, opened the Foxton Centre to support young people and adults in Avenham and Frenchwood. Over the years, Foxton has evolved to become a vital community resource. In 2024, young people in Foxton secured £2.4m from the Department for Culture, Media and Sport’s Youth Investment Fund, to build a new Youth and Community Centre, to open in 2025. The dedicated Foxton Women’s Services team, operating from our Women’s Centre, provides crucial support to vulnerable women, including those who are homeless, rough sleepers, and individuals involved in sex work. Foxton also runs its well-known Homeless Day Centre, located on Fox Street in Preston.
