FoVI3D is a deep-tech R&D company dedicated to engineering the foundational HW and SW building blocks required to make true, natural 3D light-field visualization a reality. Our proprietary ecosystem spans advanced photonics, custom micro-optics, novel compute architectures, and display-agnostic API standards designed for high-consequence defense, enterprise, and industrial applications. The Light-Field DevKit (LFDK) is the highest-resolution light-field display ever publicly demonstrated, providing developers with an uncompromised spatial environment to author, test, and deploy native 3D assets. Our Core Technology Pillars ObjGL®: An application- and display-agnostic API that decentralizes the rendering process. Multiview Processing Unit (MPU): A hardware-accelerated processing asset that refactors the legacy graphics pipeline to natively render thousands of concurrent views, drastically reducing the SWaP-C of multi-view computing. Hogel Optics: Proprietary micro-lens arrays customized to angularly distribute light preserving crisp spatial detail in a light-field's aerial projection. Advanced Photonics Subsystems: Engineering modified, high-performance COTS projectors (LCD, OLED, and MEMS) optimized to convert standard pixel radiance into physical, directed rays of light. Radiance Image Computation: Specialized computational geometry and spatial algorithms—including our proprietary bowtie frustum—engineered to calculate the precise direction and intensity of light rays passing through the hogel plane. Automated Spatial Calibration: A patented light-field display calibration process that captures and analyzes thousands of perspective images, executing advanced spatial and color transforms to ensure uniform mathematical alignment across the entire projection field. LFDK: A complete hardware and software developer table-top light-field display. The LFDK is capable of projecting 729 cm3 of active, glasses-free 3D light-field volume with a 60⸰ FoV, 360⸰ perspective.
