History: The C1RCA icon was introduced in 1999. As with the name, the icon was developed to be something non-restrictive and timeless. The origination of the center circle in the icon came from the development of the shoe tread. The tread was specifically designed for skateboarding performance, and since a circle is a realm of action or influence, it was fitting to work with that piece for the overall brand icon. From there the center circle was then encompassed by two C's to represent C1RCA and its commitment.
