Foundation Year Information

IES Foundation Year is delivered across two campuses in the Brisbane suburb of Spring Hill, a short drive from UQ's St Lucia and Herston campuses and a fifteen-minute drive from the Brisbane International Airport. The main campus, located on Boundary Street, houses lecture halls, tutorial rooms and quiet study areas. The majority of subjects are taught at the Boundary Street campus. In 2015, IES opened its second campus to deliver IES Foundation Year on Leichhardt Street. The state-of-the-art facility is within short walking distance of the Boundary Street campus and houses all AE lessons to ensure all students get a chance to visit and use the campus. Both campuses have internet access, resource rooms, break-out rooms and student counsellor offices. They are also well serviced by public transport (buses and trains), with a free bus service available stopping adjacent to the Boundary Street campus and around the corner from the Leichhardt Street campus and looping down to the city centre.
