Foss Swim School Information

Foss Swim School is a talented and energetic group of professionals dedicated to executing the best learn-to-swim experience for every swimmer. Since 1993, FOSS has redefined the “swimming lessons” experience for thousands of swimmers by providing a unique, creative, animated, challenging, and remarkably “FOSS” style of teaching. We’re 100% positive we can teach 100% of kids to be strong, confident swimmers. Just ask our 100,000+ graduates including recreational swimmers, triathletes, an American record holder, and an Olympic gold medalist. The program was created by Jon and Susan Foss in 1993. Throughout his distinguished college swimming career, Jon observed elite swimmers and their techniques. As a volunteer coach for a small, local team he used his experience, knowledge, and unique approach to coaching to lead his team to a 4th place finish out of 3,000 teams at the American Age Group Finals. Still, he was concerned by how few children at team try outs could be considered strong swimmers. Jon committed himself to developing a learn-to-swim program that would teach world class techniques to children. His unprecedented program changed the way swimming is taught. We do one thing and we do it extremely well: we teach the lifelong and life-saving skill of swimming. With a commitment to both innovate and continuously improve, we're the best in the business.
