Formed Architecture Information

Formed Architecture is a San Francisco architecture studio focused on thoughtful, design-driven residential and commercial projects throughout the Bay Area and Northern California. Founded by Robert Tranter, the studio draws on over 15 years of experience across a wide range of project types—from custom homes to complex public and large-scale developments. Technology and visualization are an important part of how we work. Through 3D modeling, renderings, and design studies, we explore ideas early and give clients, consultants, and builders a clear understanding of the project as it develops. We stay closely involved from initial concept through construction, helping carry the design intent through every stage of the process. Our approach brings together creative design and practical, buildable solutions, with careful consideration of context, materials, and how spaces are experienced day to day. Through close collaboration with clients, consultants, and builders, we create architecture that is thoughtful, functional, and carefully considered.
