The New England Center for Children (NECC) is a private, nonprofit center for autism treatment, education, and research with a global presence. We are dedicated to our mission: to empower those with autism through comprehensive care, education, and research. NECC provides a comprehensive structure to help children with autism at every stage: day and residential programs; partner classrooms in public school systems; consulting services; ABA curriculum software for schools and organizations; and ongoing research on educational best practices.

Oakwood School was founded in 1951 by parents who wanted to provide their children with an educational experience rich in the arts, sciences, and humanities, and challenging to their creative, intellectual, and physical capacities. They wanted a learning community that would foster independence of thought, intellectual integrity, sensitivity to the needs of others, and prepare students for participation in a democratic society. Oakwood remains committed to the founders’ goals. We believe that a school environment should foster individual growth and an active communal life, should hold intellectual attainment in high regard, and should encourage young people to exercise increasing autonomy and responsibility—for one another, for the environment, and for the larger world. We believe that a school best prepares children for the future by focusing on the quality of their experiences in the present. We believe that teachers and learners should inspire one another, and that school must be rewarding in its own right. And we believe that young people’s feelings and thoughts should be accorded respect and dignity.

LANDMARK SCHOOL We are a school community of 460 male and female students in grades 2 through 12 located 30 miles north of Boston. Our students have dyslexia or other language-based learning differences (LBLD). The cornerstone of the Landmark experience is our one-to-one daily tutorial combined with small class sizes, highly trained faculty, a 1:3 teacher-to-student ratio, robust extracurricular activities, and more. Our methods are evidence-based and research informs our practices. We embrace technology to enrich the learning experience rather than as a replacement. Landmark is a unique place to work. Many say it provides a deep sense of meaning, social fulfillment, and academic and professional growth. 93% of Landmark School graduates attend college, many earn master's degrees and are often working in their preferred field. Our methods are also evidence-based and are informed by research that we conduct at Landmark School and oftentimes with local scientists from Massachusetts General Hospital and the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Our online courses for educators are offered through Landmark Outreach as well as Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) where participants can earn an M.Ed. in Curriculum Instruction with a concentration in Dyslexia and Language-Based Learning Disabilities Studies.
