Calm Waters Spa & Salon Inc. was established in 1999. Patricia Smith, Calm Waters' owner, has been in the Salon business for 20 years. She studied Hydrotherapy Massage and European Body Therapy in 1997 under a German doctor in Manhattan, NY. She quickly realized the profound impact that water massage and body therapy can have. Patricia is excited and proud to be the first Spa in the Greater Portland area to offer Hydrotherapy and European Body Therapies in a full service spa environment. Patricia's goal is to educate people of the many benefits of balneotherapy (Body treatments that incorporate the use of water).
