Forge Works Information

ForgeWorks develops technology and processes to support complex problem-solving. We have created (1) project management and technology to empower K-12 teachers to redesign their lessons to be more equitable and effective, (2) feedback technology to help student innovators to create solutions to local social issues, and (3) group decision-making tools to help activists work for political change. ForgeWorks employs a unique combination of human-centered design, learning science, design-based research, and agile software development. Working closely with our partners, we interleave user-research methods from the social sciences simultaneously with rapid iterative development of prototypes informed by state-of-the-art HCI, cognitive science, and learning sciences research. With a team of software engineers, product managers, UX designers, and UX researchers, we are able to quickly design and implement innovative software platforms.
