Forest Products Sector Council Information

The Forest Products Sector Council was formally established in 2008 as a working partnership between forest products industry employers, unions, Aboriginal peoples, and education and training institutions to work cooperatively and strategically in addressing the major training, development and transition issues facing the industry, its employers and its employees. In 2009, FPSC-CSPF will focus upon gathering up-to-date labour market information, informing the successful transition and adjustment of laid-off workers, optimising employment for Aboriginal peoples, and enhancing the use of apprenticeships and regulated occupations in the sector.
