The FPA is the first and oldest association of foreign correspondents in the world and has celebrated its 130th anniversary in 2018. As a member of the UK Press Card Authority, the FPA provides official journalistic accreditation to more than 2,200 international correspondents every year. All media is represented: from print and news agencies to broadcast and digital. Freelancers are welcome in all categories. Every year, the FPA holds a wide-ranging programme of briefings for its members, facilitating access to Government Ministers, Whitehall, the City's financial district and Royal events. The FPA also organises press conferences and interview opportunities to help connect its members with UK prominent figures from the political, financial, cultural and sporting worlds.
