Funded by the Mellon Foundation, the Foothill-De Anza Humanities Mellon Scholars Program is a transfer support program for students interested in building a strong foundation in the humanities to support the major of their choice. The Humanities Mellon Scholars Program is a learning community intended to expose a more diverse population of students to the advantages of a humanities-infused education. The Foothill-De Anza Humanities Mellon Scholars program offers students a unique cohort experience, a one-on-one faculty mentor, and a paid internship. Thirty-five exceptional students are accepted into this program, from each campus, every school year. Students who complete the program will be guaranteed admission to the University of San Francisco and will also meet the eligibility requirements for transfer to the University of California and the California State University systems. To apply and/or learn more about the program offered at Foothill College and De Anza College, please visit the campus specific websites.
