Here at Footage, we are on a mission to raise voices to elevate lives. As a dynamic, multimedia based non-profit, we use innovative storytelling methods to amplify the voices of underrepresented young women around the globe and fight against gender based violence. Catalyzing social change through storytelling is at the core of who we are. We believe that young women’s insights are valuable, every young individual's story deserves to be heard, and that every young woman has the ability to bring about change. Here at Footage, we believe in the power of you. Through our work both on the ground and in the digital space, we hope to inspire every young woman – regardless of race, socioeconomic status, gender identity, religion, home country, or sexual orientation – to ignite change within themselves and their communities. If we do our job right, we allow even the most systemically oppressed individuals to feel empowered within themselves and in this way, we foster long term, sustainable, and life-changing transformation.
