Food and Forest Development Finland (FFD) Information

FFD was founded in 2012 by MTK (Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners), SLC (Central union of Swedish-speaking agricultural producers in Finland), ProAgria (Provider of agricultural advisory and consultation), and Pellervo (Confederation of Finnish cooperatives). At the global level, FFD is part of the AgriCord-network FFD aims at contributing to the development of lives and livelihoods in developing countries and to promote development cooperation. The organization works towards this goal through such means as expert services, communication, extension, training for developing country organizations and participation on development cooperation projects. FFD has Farmes to Farmers twinning projects in Ethiopia, Nepal, Tanzania, Vietnam, Mexico, Nicaragua and Zambia.
