In the 22 years since the 1995 release of Foo Fighters' self-titled debut album, Dave Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, Pat Smear and Rami Jaffee have grown into the last great American arena/stadium rock band, won 11 Grammy Awards, sold more than 25 million records and raised tens of thousands of voices night after night with modern rock's most indelible anthems. Foo Fighters' journey began with that 1995 debut and grew into one of rock's most hallowed discographies, including 1997's double-platinum The Colour and the Shape, Best Rock Album Grammy winners There Is Nothing Left To Lose (1999) and One By One (2002), the epic double LP Your Honor released in the FF 10th anniversary year of 2005, third and fourth Best Rock Album Grammy winners Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace (2007) and Wasting Light (2011), and eighth FF album Sonic Highways, which shares its title with Grohl's double-Emmy-winning HBO docuseries. In 2015, the band's 20th anniversary celebration was the year's #5 grossing tour-after which the band released the free Saint Cecilia EP as a thank you to its fans.
