Created in 1968, the Le Corbusier Foundation was born out of the architect's desire to avoid the dispersal of his works and archives. Its fundamental mission is to ensure the preservation of architectural works. It has initiated a programme of actions to develop the knowledge and diffusion of Le Corbusier's plastic, architectural and literary work: receiving researchers, publications, exhibitions, symposiums. It is located in Paris in the 16th arrondissement in the houses La Roche and Jeanneret. It also owns Le Corbusier's studio apartment in Paris and the Villa Le Lac, on the Lake Geneva in Switzerland.
