Folk Labs Information

Folk Labs Ltd is a small software and design consultancy, founded by a software developer and a graphic designer with 35+ years’ of professional experience between them. We offer a broad range of software development and design services to support your organisation’s objectives. We develop software with frameworks like Drupal, Rails & WordPress. We conduct content audits, design content strategy, information architecture and strong user experiences and we also develop front-end user interfaces. In addition to software development, we also offer strong graphic design services including annual report art direction, corporate identity and high quality infographics and data visualisation work and social media campaigns and brands. Our typical clients are organisations with a social mission like local authorities, non-profits, charities and NGOs as well as community groups and the booming social enterprise sector. But we’re always delighted to hear from any organisation in need of a website, app or brand. Our passion is for building tools which can bridge the gap between local authorities and community groups and help them collaborate better together. As open source software developers, we advocate for local communities everywhere to apply appropriate technology to the challenges they face and we strongly believe that they can achieve much more by empowering themselves with technologies and tools in smart ways.
