FFT was founded in 1991 with an aim that was as clear in its simplicity as it was bold in its ambition: an aim to become an environmentally friendly products industry leader through establishing a world class portfolio of products. Products that would not just aspire to the benchmarks set by our competitors, but actually redefine them. Products that would be recognized in their own right. Products that would offer a solution to problems that previously had significant negative environmental impacts. Our first product line tackled finding an environmentally friendly solution for the Fats, Oils, and Grease in municipal waste water facilities. We succeeded and are currently being used in some of the countries largest municipalities. After the Deepwater Horizon accident and subsequent oil spill in 2010, development of a nontoxic dispersant was undertaken. The results of this testing effort were amazing. In theory, it works the exact same way as it does in a sewer system that has fats, oils and grease problems: it is extremely effective and has numerous benefits. It separates and transforms hydrocarbons to a food source for existing bacteria to digest. Continual testing of our FFT-Solution® Nontoxic Oil Dispersant has proven our product to be safe and effective, allowing Fog Free to form an oil remediation division. Our patented solution has since been used as the basis for a list of oil remediation products that work to remediate any and ALL categories of refined and unrefined petroleum hydrocarbons.
