In 1980, Ann Rooney started making phone calls from her kitchen table in Oak Park. She was looking for people who would tell the truth — about detergent, about banking, about what they fed their kids for breakfast. Not people who would say what they thought a researcher wanted to hear. People who would sit down and talk. Three generations later, that's still the whole business. Focuscope is a family-owned qualitative research partner in Chicago. We recruit the people and we host the work — in our facility, remotely, or hybrid — for consumer brands, agencies, consultants, and independent moderators. The people at our table know their recruiter by name and have a real phone number to call. Many have been coming back for years. We tell you what's feasible before you sign. If a cell can't be recruited at the incidence you're assuming, you'll hear it from us early, with the arithmetic — instead of hearing about a miss later. One partner from screener to session.
