We help organisations to digitise their Workflow and Knowledge Management processes in a robust, pragmatic way using our highly configurable web applications. FoCul was founded in 2000 by Sean Cull CEng, an Engineer in the chemical sector. Sean was frustrated by the lack of software solutions to help with the sharing of knowledge and tasks ( this was pre Wikipedia ). Over the last 25 years FoCul has worked with a growing number of Engineering and Operations teams to provide web solutions that makes real world collaboration easier, robust and secure. We focus on the Petrochemical and Utility sectors. For the first 10 years we developed many bespoke Lotus Notes solutions. Since 2010 our focus has been on developing an impressive suite of highly configurable web solutions. This approach has allowed us to deliver solutions in a particularly robust and cost-effective way since each customer has the same software but with different configurations. This way every customer gets the benefits of new enhancements and fixes while we get an economy of scale. Our software is what is “Software as a Service ( SaaS )”. This means that you rent the software by the month, and we are responsible for all aspects of its operations, support and security. This works well as it is in everyone’s interests that the software continues to deliver business benefits into the future. This SaaS approach also makes it very easy to get new systems up and running in a quick and cost-effective manner. Even though we are a smaller organisation we work closely with larger organisations such as TUV, PX and Eon as well as smaller organisations.
