Geoffrey Enthoven and Mariano Vanhoof founded Fobic Films in October 1999. They met at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts KASK in Ghent, where they both studied Audio Visual Arts. That first contact proved to be the start of a long-lasting and productive friendship. They joined their directing and producing skills and realised ‘De aanspreker’ (aka ‘The undertaker), Geoffrey’s final project. The film debut of ‘Les enfants de l’amour’ (aka ‘Children of love) was released in September 2001. ‘Vidange Perdue’ (aka ‘The only one’) was released in July 2006 and Happy Together in February 2008. Fobic Films is interested in stories about people, their problems and how to overcome them. But first of all they want to produce quality movies with a strong content which are loved In Flanders and recognized abroad.
